Position: Sr. Systems Engineer
Report To: Infrastructure Systems Manager
Position Summary:
Recovery Centers of America (RCA) is seeking a dynamic and talented Senior System Engineer to join our
Cloud and Infrastructure team in King of Prussia, PA. This team is the central hub for all infrastructure and
data center activities within RCA. The job is a full time, permanent position located in King of Prussia, PA,
reporting to the Infrastructure Systems Manager.
The Sr. Systems Engineer’s primary responsibility is to oversee the streamlined operation of the
Infrastructure Systems team and ensure it aligns with the business objectives of the organization. This
position is responsible for infrastructure, performance, availability, incident, capacity, configuration, and
change-management processes and for the tools, vendors, and resources to support 24×7 uptime and
availability SLAs. The candidate must have in-depth, hands-on technical skills in Microsoft Server, Azure,
Office 365, VMware, appreciating the impact of how these backend technologies serve front end
applications, corporate functions, and business process to help our patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage/Administer VMware Hypervisor and VCenter Activities
* Design, Engineer, and Administration of Active Directory and Azure
* Manage/Administer Azure Cloud & Office 365 environments
* Security, vulnerability management, remediation
* Coordinate and collaborate with technical and functional services team members to ensure the
availability, reliability, and scalability of organizational servers to meet business demands.
* Lead, coordinate, and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the
client/server/cloud environment.
* Maintains and ensures the reliability of all system backups and restores.
* Work with 3rd Party service vendors, e.g., NOC, Security Vendor’s, ISP’s
* Collaborate across departments both inside and outside of IS
* Work with several IS projects simultaneously
* Operate and maintain system patches, software, storage and hardware systems
* Provide top-notch customer service with tech standards
* Facilitates the implementation of appropriate change management procedures following standard
operating procedures when implementing production system changes.
* Interact with various internal and external groups to facilitate successful project completion
Core Functional/Technical Skills
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Windows Servers infrastructure, including Active
Directory management and implementation, Certificates, Computer Virtualization, SSO integration of
Enterprise Applications.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with Windows Servers E-mail Services (O365, Mimecast)
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Azure, Citrix.
* Security and Spyware Protection and Information protection (Sophos, Microsoft, Cisco Umbrella)
* Create system management scripts utilizing PowerShell scripting
* Security hardening standards and security frameworks
* Skilled with Server hardware architecture, configuration, as well as troubleshooting HP, Dell, and
Cisco UCS platforms
* Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems, best practices for security and
system configuration).
* Provide direct support to other technology teams
* Understanding of Networking technologies including DMVPN, IWAN, Datacenter core networking,
Wireless, and remote access VPN
* Ability to work in a group setting and independently; ability to adjust to changing priorities
Deep Experience with Technologies like:
* Migration and support knowledge of cloud services – Azure/Office 365
* DUO, Mimecast, Sophos Cloud, Cisco Umbrella, Intune
* Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
* MFA, DLP tools, security, and compliance
* VMware virtualization, Hyperconvergence
Innovation and Strategy
* Evaluate vendors, technologies, and products to determine proper fit to business objectives. Provide
updates and summaries to IT management on proposed solutions and strategies
* Stay informed of current technology trends and suggest proactive improvements to on-premise and
cloud-based infrastructure to solve problems, increase reliability, and drive efficiencies
* Execute troubleshooting skills, while working in a fast-paced dynamic and growing IT environment, and
the flexibility to work with a wide range of technologies
Skills & Experience
* At least five years of IT experience
* Change management skills/experience
* Strong security and compliance practices
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and military experience
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, verbal, and presentation)
Working Conditions
* Travel: 0-20%
* Lifting: 0-50 lbs.
* Other: Computer work for extended periods
* Schedule: This position requires availability to occasionally work unusual hours, including evenings
and weekends, to respond to urgent requests or maintenance (i.e., on-call).
