E01108 – Innovation Strategist

Position Overview:
The Innovation Strategist, reporting to the Director of Innovation, is responsible for identifying and, once implemented, rolling out effective technical innovations for RCA’s clinical operations. With a combination of a deep understanding of existing workflows and on-going learnings of best practices of the field, the Innovation Strategist will work to surface and resolve systemic barriers, enabling better staff and patient experiences while managing resources and priorities.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Engage, on a proactive and regular basis, the site staff, corporate stakeholders, and delivery team members to understand current processes and identify pain points.
- Triage pain points between one-off issues and solves and aggregating several pain points for larger system-wide step-backs.
- Translate pain points to clear user stories and data needs and work with business stakeholders to prioritize needs against others that have surfaced.
- Collaborate with Innovation Product Manager and other senior leaders on IT to identify and prioritize solutions to these pain points.
- Participate in solution implementation by ensuring stakeholder needs are met and questions from technical stakeholders and vendors are answered in a timely manner.
- Drive evolving existing processes by working with corporate and site-based Operations stakeholders and developing documentation to support innovations.
- Drive formal training, SOPs, and documentation of these processes by working with the training team.
- Drive discussions and actions for improvement through the on-going use of these products
- Quantify impact of solutions and delivery time/cost/complexity on sites. Ensure RCA remains within budget and staffing capacity.
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of clinical experience (licensed therapist, nurse, etc.)
- 5+ years of practical operational experience in a healthcare organization or healthcare technology organizations (quality, safety, care management, care coordination, analytics, etc.)
- A proven ability to establish and maintain effective, respectful, and trusting relationships with colleagues representing varying needs, personalities and styles.
- A solid technical acumen and experience working with patient care teams and software engineering teams to bridge operational problems with technology solutions.
- Healthcare acumen and exposure required with the ideal candidate having exposure to population health platforms, provider comparisons, and network evaluations.
- Past performance managing to cost, schedule, technical & risk management.

- Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams including engineering and product, sales and marketing, delivery, and customer engagement.
- Excellent written and presentation skills; ability to distill complex problems into simple documentation tailored to the audience.
- Experience with JIRA or similar systems for agile software development preferred.
- Experience with office software skills (e.g., MS Office or Google Suite) required.
Work Environment: Hybrid from home.
Physical Demands: The employee is occasionally required to stand, primarily working from desk.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
