Position Overview: Under the supervision of the VP of Clinical Services, the Clinical Curriculum Specialists will support clinical excellence by designing and delivering trainings across the RCA enterprise. In collaboration with the VP of Clinical Services and VP of Family, this position will be responsible for the development and delivery of clinical content during the onboarding of new Clinical positions, for the launch of new specialty programs and to support the ongoing development of clinicians across the RCA enterprise. This position requires the ability to design clinical program material and instructional materials for evidence-based best practices. The Clinical Curriculum Specialist will function as part of the corporate clinical team developing, coordinating, and facilitating internal staff trainings and external presentations. The Clinical Curriculum Specialist will be responsible for coordinating with the corporate Director of Training and corporate HR leadership to ensure appropriate tracking of training attendance, including relevant continuing education credits. In addition, this position will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining continuing education accreditation from relevant credentialing bodies, when required.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Support intensive clinical onboarding for new sites & new staff across the continuum of care
  • Provide intensive orientation to new sites and staff on continuum-specific target interventions, with specific guidance on linkages to documentation, utilization review and continuing care
  • Assess sites readiness for implementation of specialty programming, including staff development, curricular and other resource needs
  • Actively work with sites to resolve the same and to coordinate and execute timeline for implementation
  • Provide ongoing oversite of curriculum delivery to ensure it meets expectations for credibility and consistency
  • Consistently solicit feedback from sites on emergent programming/curricular needs and coordinate with corporate clinical leadership in order to evaluate need for and development of new curriculum/programming, as warranted
  • Actively attend to population trends (including those that are demographically/regionally specific) and provide feedback to corporate clinical leadership in order to evaluate need for and development of new curriculum/programming, as warranted
  • Support Clinical Fidelity Specialists in conducting clinical audits to ensure quality in delivery of clinical care across the continuum
  • Participate in workgroup sessions for clinical leadership at all LOCs to enhance their ability to mentor onsite staff toward achievement of targets/developmental goals
  • Obtain and maintain continuing education accreditation from relevant credentialing bodies, to support granting of continuing education credits, when required
 
Education and Experience:
  • A licensed practitioner with a Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, or other Social Services field.
  • At least five years of experience in behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment required; clinical supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience providing accredited training for behavioral health professionals
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to be flexible in adjusting to new and changing situations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent organizational skills required

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, or kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. General days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., however, training occasionally includes evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
