E00554 – Vice President, Clinical Operations
Position Overview: Under the supervision of the Vice President of Clinical Services, the Vice President of Clinical Operations is responsible for operational performance improvements by implementing strategic enhancements through standardization of treatment services and clinical programming that drive increased daily census, revenue, compliance, patient care, positive outcomes and patient satisfaction. This position will play a leadership role in differentiating RCA as a high quality, industry thought leader by among other things, piloting programs to improve outcome measurements and using data to improve clinical and operating performance. The Vice President of Clinical Operations directly oversees the roles of case management and clinical operations setting companywide expectations. Adherence to these standards and expectations is monitored through key performance indicators. This position works collaboratively with all site level facility leadership and other leaders or members of Corporate Departments
Exhibit extraordinary leadership, critical thinking, and coaching skills to support the company’s strategic focus on leadership, workforce, and quality clinical service. Have a strong understanding of and abide by current principles, laws, ethical guidelines, and agency policies regarding personnel management. Keep abreast of state initiatives effecting services and work with CEO’s to maintain compliance with all state and payor regulations. Collaborate with leadership within all programs to facilitate compliant, quality, operationally efficient and optimized clinical practices inclusive of documentation practices, coordination of care and supervisory oversite. Collaborates on the implementation of strategies used by RCA to achieve and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment. Develop and direct strategies to promote the recognition of excellence in clinical care. Collaborate with RCA teammates to develop and enhance strategic partnerships that improve quality and lower cost. Evaluate performance by analyzing data and metrics and work with site leadership to implement strategies to meet or exceed site budgets. Successfully implement solutions that improve employee retention, reduce overtime and maintain SWB as % of revenue at all levels of the RCA continuum. Help plan and execute new site openings including clinical service programming, workforce planning and staffing. Other matters as assigned by the RCA executive team.
- A licensed practitioner with a master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Services, or related field.
- At least five years of experience in behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment required; with a minimum 1-year Executive Leadership in Inpatient/Outpatient substance use treatment program. Ability to implement operational processes and workflows on multi entity and full continuum platforms. Experience managing facility budgets and P&L Willingness to be flexible in adjusting to new and changing situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Excellent organizational skills required. 2 or more years in a supervisory position is preferred.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, or kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: Up to 50% travel is required which includes local, out-of-the-area, and overnight travel.
