E00061 – Vice President, Clinical Services

Full-time Position



Position Overview: The VP, Clinical Services is responsible for assuring the highest standards of clinical practice at RCA and for assuring fidelity and consistency in clinical practices across various programs. The VP, Clinical Services creates a treatment environment in which collaboration is valued and excellence in clinical care, clinical education, and clinical performance evaluation are promoted and achieved. The VP, Clinical Services also assures that patient care delivery model(s) and clinical and staffing standards for treatment are consistent with current research and professional standards and with the mission, vision, and values of RCA as a whole.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Identifies and articulates the vision and strategic direction for RCA clinical services
* Collaborates on the implementation of strategies used by RCA to achieve and evaluate the effectiveness of those strategies.
* Participates in the planning and evaluation of clinical programs and services, including plans to increase the range, quality and quantity of services at RCA.
* Supervises and works directly with staff to develop and monitor clinical quality assurance procedures to ensure a scientific basis is used in determining which clinical activities to implement and continue.
* Serves as one of the spokespersons for clinical care at RCA and represent RCA at organizations and associations as appropriate.
* Advises the Executive Directors and facility Clinical Directors on how various management decisions may affect clinical care.
* Develop and direct strategies to promote the recognition of excellence in clinical care.
* Trouble-shoot clinically-related problems that come to national attention and roll out clinical initiatives that will improve clinical quality to programs in the field.
* Assist in preparing for changes secondary to Healthcare Reform including development of new clinical services, partnerships, collaborations, and evaluation of care delivery systems.
* Develop and implement procedures to permit regular, timely collection and utilization of feedback from both staff and patients in the implementation and modification of clinical practices.
* Ensure that all clinical personnel are trained to adequately perform their jobs to insure an efficient operation that is cost effective and well integrated.
* Oversee the development and approval of RCA clinical materials including clinical manuals, workbooks, supervision procedures, clinical presentation and website materials, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
* Masters’ Degree required; Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an accredited university is preferred.
* Behavioral health license or certification highly preferred (LSAC, CSAC, LMSW).
* Five years in a Clinical Management role or in Education Strong leadership qualities, problem solving ability, organizational skills.
* Excellent platform presentation skills, interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience providing clinical care, developing clinical programs and supervising clinical staffs; psychiatric hospital, or residential placement experience preferred.
* Knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures and tools.
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
