Full-time Position


Position Overview: The Director of Supply Chain directs all aspects of the RCA’s supply chain management and operations, including procurement, vendor relations, production, logistics, and distribution. Develops and implements plans for managing supply chain processes for production and/or client implementation. Oversees demand forecasting, supply planning, and procurement to ensure resource requirements are satisfied. Communicates with executives regarding business needs to secure resources needed to satisfy customer demands and ensure delivery and/or implementation.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Direct the activities of all functions involved in the Purchasing, Planning, Inventory, Warehousing, and Logistics from the receipt of forecasting needs to the delivery of the finished product to customers.
* Leads and facilitates successful supply chain performance with existing and new Suppliers. Develops and leads the procurement function to support performance objectives. Works with Quality and Suppliers to successfully address identified performance issues.
* Responsible for negotiating supplier contracts, including Supply Agreements, blanket orders, cost reductions and independent contractor agreements.
* Identifies and qualifies potential suppliers who provide the necessary technology and materials, which support the Company’s business plan and strategies.
* Works with the Management Team to develop and maintain Sales, Inventory, and Operations Plans, provides feedback on plan achievement. Coordinate timely purchasing, ordering and supporting engineering products during engineering programs.
* Develops and deploys negotiating and purchasing strategies to achieve cost reduction defined by the Management Team. Assures employees and suppliers comply with RCA’s ethics and quality policy.
* Manages shipping methods to minimize freight costs for inbound and outbound deliveries. Oversees import/export of shipments to assure compliance with domestic and international regulations.
* Performs supervisory tasks which include personnel assessment, hiring, training and managing the workforce.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or relevant field required
* 10 years as a Supply Chain leader in a medium volume, high mix environment.
* Strong analytical and negotiation skills, excellent communication, motivation and interpersonal skills, ability to drive change and work within a dynamic environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, expert in Excel

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
